    * At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 15.2 feet.
    * Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
    * Recent activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at
    9 PM Sunday was 16.0 feet.
    * Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
    late this evening.
    * Impact...At 15.0 feet...Water reaches the boat ramp and lower
    parking area at Edwards Ferry, and begins to inundate areas near
    Whites Ferry.
    * Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.2 feet
    on Jun 24 2018.

  • ...A FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM
    EDT FOR SOUTH CENTRAL ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY...THE CITY OF BUENA VISTA
    AND THE CITY OF LEXINGTON...
    At 500 PM EDT, reporting gauges indicate the Maury River has crested
    at Lexington and Buena Vista and is now receding. The James River
    at Glasgow was just above flood stage, but looks like it is cresting
    and should begin falling between now and 8PM. Minor flooding has
    been observed along both the Maury and James Rivers. River levels
    are forecast to recede tonight and Saturday.
